High Schools
Placentia-Yorba
Linda Unified School District operates three comprehensive high schools
and two alternative high schools. Students at our award winning high
schools consistently rank among the top in the state academically, athletically,
and in the arts. All students are required to complete rigorous standards-based
core curriculum covering language arts, mathematics, the sciences and
the humanities. A wide variety of quality electives and co-curricular
activities ensures a balanced program to meet every student's needs.
The comprehensive high schools offer some of the most rigorous advanced
placement courses in the state, and the district has traditionally produced
a higher than average number of national merit scholars. All of our
campuses provide a safe and orderly environment, historically among
the safest in the state and county. Classes are taught by competent,
committed and nurturing staff. Each of our high schools maintains on-going
staff development to ensure that students receive the very latest and
best in instruction. All students have access to quality guidance services
to assist them in their educational plan and to prepare for the transition
to careers and higher education.
Academic Study Guides
Academic Study Guides are available at each high school in the school's
counseling center. These guides contain valuable information for both
student and parent.
